Seiko King QMY040

Description

Seiko King Quartz 0853-8000 QMY040 White Linen

The watch is in excellent condition, both visually and technically! The watch runs smoothly and keeps the time. In 1975, this robust, unyielding King Quartz caliber appeared right next to the 4843 Grand Quartz caliber (48GQW). It is a direct descendant of the 38QR caliber and was listed in the catalogs as 08KQW and next to it as 08QTW (commonly known as Quartz qt). It is fair to say that the pricing was a mystery, even if the quality was not, as the dial was exceptional. The 0853 was a very solidly built quartz movement (your watchmaker will love it!), much thicker than its descendants and of enormous presence (and indeed thermo-compensating due to its sheer mass), the dial movement was, as I said, impeccable and very elaborate - truly a high-end watch. Please note that you are buying a vintage watch and that this carries a risk. In many cases, it is unknown what the previous owner did to the watch (I have owned the watch for a few months -> it has not been serviced during that time). Don't forget that the movement is actually an engine that runs 24 hours a day and may need servicing. Do not take vintage watches with you for showering, swimming or sports unless it has been tested and certified by a watchmakerSeiko King Quartz 0853-8000 QMY040 White Linen $ 512 Basic Info Listing code KLN104 Brand Seiko Model King Reference number QMY040 Movement Quartz Year of production 1976 Condition Very good (Worn with little to no signs of wear) Scope of delivery No original box, no original papers Gender Men's watch/Unisex Location Germany, Geisenfeld Price €460 (= $512) [Negotiable] Availability Item is in stock Caliber Movement Quartz Caliber/movement 0853 The watch is in excellent condition, both visually and technically!
