The rare iconic reference with the original black dial. The watch is in very good condition. The dial, hands, hour markers and logos have minimal signs of aging, barely visible with the naked eye. There are no signs of oxidation or moisture present anywhere. The case is in excellent condition with no dings or deep scratches present. The original brushed finish on the lugs is in mint condition. Also are the engravings on the back and the crown. All in all a well taken care of watch. Being a one piece case, the inside is also in perfect condition (though you'll have to believe my word on that). The 5246A hi-beat movement is clean and runs accurately throughout the day with no more than +-10s/day. Also, the Kanji/English calendar can be operated manually and automatically with no issues. The multi faceted crystal complements the appearance of the watch in a beautiful way. It's a fantastic piece for collectors or vintage Seiko enthusiasts. This reference number is arguably one of the best pieces that King Seiko ever made in the Daini factory. It comes on a high quality soft black leather strap.
