The SBGA387 is powered by Spring Drive, Grand Seiko’s unique caliber, which combines the motive force of a mainspring found with the high precision of a quartz watch. The case and bracelet are made of stainless steel. The blue steel second hand moves smoothly in glide motion, and glows over the contrasting pure Kirazuri painted face to create an even more dramatic movement. It has a 72-hour (3-day) power reserve, and a power reserve indicator on the bottom left of the dial. This Grand Seiko Spring Drive Limited Edition is the first model designed and manufactured exclusively for the U.S. The dial of this special watch is inspired by a Kirazuri method, a painting technique used in Ukiyo-e, often showing Kabuki actor drawing. Designed in a 44GS case, referred to as the Grand Seiko Style: the milestone of Grand Seiko design.
