One of Seiko's most iconic timepieces is the "Pogue." This nickname came from the astronaut Colonel William R. Pogue who used an earlier gold dial variant of this reference for a NASA mission in 1973. We believe that both variants with blue and gold dial remain highly undervalued, even in today's market given their historical significance. This example has a fantastic dial/bezel, as well as sharp case and bracelet. Dial: Fantastic preservation with perfectly clean looking lume. Some light aging in the sub dial but nothing distracting. Bezel insert: Excellent with light wear consistent with age. Hands: Are matching and all of their lume is stable. Case: Extremely sharp and nicely preserved. Etching on back is still deep and visible. Correct pushers and crown. Bracelet: Signed and correct "H" link style. Fully linked and light stretch. Crystal: Clear. Accessories: None. All functions of the watch operate flawlessly.
