ROMILLY IN PARIS 18K (750 thousandths) gold quarter-repeating pocket watch, white enamel dial, black railway minute track with Arabic numeral hour markers, black painted Roman numeral hour markers, Louis XVI hands set with old-cut diamonds. Engraved and chased case middle decorated with friezes and flowers, engraved and chased case back decorated with hunting scene with dog, rifle and horn. Mechanical movement with key winding and quarter repeater, reperced cock and counter-pivot, rosette for setting advance and delay, repeater speed setting, plate signed ROMILLY À PARIS, numbered 1399, verge escapement, fusée chain system. Watch not functional at time of appraisal, with no guarantee of future operation or condition of parts. A few cracks and marks to the enamel, addition of a fixing screw on the dial, scratches to the case. Last quarter of 18th century 1768/1769 D. 42 mm - Gross weight: 68 g
