Vintage Watch Condition Examination:
This "Rootbeer" GMT is in overall great, attractive vintage condition. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The inside caseback is stamped "1675 III.70." The numbers between the lugs are clearly visible. The service bezel is in great condition with little wear; the colors have remained vibrant. The bezel is tight to rotate. The dial is in great condition with light patina. The lume on the dial has developed patina and aged to a creamy pale yellow color. The hour markers and hands have developed patina. The lume in all the hands has been color corrected/ relumed to match the color of the lume on the dial.
Description: Rolex GMT-Master 1675
The reference 1675 is the second iteration of the original GMT Master and was offered in many variations. A handful of metal options were produced under ref. 1675, including the steel and gold like the example we have here. It pairs the two-tone finish with a beautiful brown dial with brown and gold bezel. However, what really sets this watch apart from other vintage Rolexes on the market are the charming yellow gold nipple hour markers and overall “Root Beer” motif. We paired this watch on a lovely tan leather strap that matches nicely with the lume color and bezel.
