1957 ROLEX 6536/1 Submariner Small Crown 38mm James Bond Black Gilt Dial

Offered for sale is a 1957 Rolex 6536/1 Submariner James Bond Small Crown with refinished gilt gloss dial, original bezel insert and brass coin edge bezel. Featured here on an USA made Jubilee bracelet in good condition with some stretch but wears well and appears nice. Please see all listing photos. According to the previous owner, the watch was previously serviced and relumed by Rolex in the early 1990's. Rolex did relume many Radium dial watches from the 1950's, a very common pactice by Rolex for early gilt dialed models. The domed acrylic crystal is very good. The unpolished case, brass bezel, crown, case back and overall metal quality are very good and clean, Mercedes gilt hands are very nice with minor lume loss on the hour hand. Rolex Cal. 1030 movement in excellent condition with no pitting, porosity or oxidation anywhere on it. This watch runs very well and contains only genuine Rolex parts. This is a beautiful, well preserved and historically significant Rolex model. This watch shows and presents well. It is in very nice condition for its nearly 70 years of age. Fits up to an 8" inch wrist size. Comes with original Rolex service box, polishing cloth, original spare bezel insert and 2 spare Jubilee links.
