Rolex Submariner 16800

Description

Rolex Submariner Stainless Steel 16800

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner, model reference 16800, dates from 1982. Rolex used this model reference to introduce an increased diving capability, with this particular watch initially made to hit 300m, rather than the initial 200m. The 40mm robust stainless steel case houses a fully functioning automatic calibre 3035 movement, with quick-set date functionality. The iconic Submariner matte-black dial features tritium painted dots, a date window at the 3 o'clock position, magnified by a cyclops lens, which is fitted into the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The Rolex is complete with a black unidirectional bezel. This Rolex Submariner is attached to its original Rolex Oyster Steel bracelet, complete with a flip lock clasp and bracelet extension. Supplied with a Parkers 12-month warranty and a Parkers watch box. This Submariner can be considered the transitional. This is because Rolex made some major model developments from the previous Submariner collections. A new Sapphire Crystal to replace the original acrylic, a depth rating increase, a new unidirectional bezel design and caliber 3035 movement fitted.
