The watch functions flawlessly. Rolex 1680 Submariner Red, an early 1970’s Tritium serial 2.9 million, is a true collector’s dream. It features the original Ghost bezel and tritium hands, a “Patented” bracelet, and NO aftermarket dial, hands, movement, case, crystal, bracelet, or end link. The dial is not relumed or refinished and the crystal is original to the the watch in excellent vintage condition. While many “all original” watches are not, this one is the real deal, not just a slogan. It has been owned by one person for 50 years and is untouched, showcasing a beautiful natural patina. The 1680 boasts a stunning Ghost bezel and patina, along with a very rare and expensive “Patented” bracelet 9315 with the correct end links numbers 380. The original movement has been meticulously overhauled, cleaned, and reassembled by vintage Rolex watchmaker expert Eddy and Sons. The watch functions flawlessly.
