Rolex, Ref. 116619 B The Rolex Ref. 116619 LB, “Submariner Date”, was introduced in 2008. It was one of the first “Submariner” with the new case style; it was also the first “Submariner” to be fitted in a white gold case. With its blue bezel and blue dial, it’s so-called “Smurf” by collectors. The Rolex Ref. 116619LB-0002 “Submariner Date”, with diamond-set dial, was introduced somewhat later. -- Rolex, calibre 3135 The calibre 3135 is a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Like all Rolex “Perpetual” movements, the 3135 is a certified Swiss chronometer, a designation reserved for high-precision watches that have successfully passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests. It is fitted with a “Parachrom” hairspring, offering greater resistance to shocks and to temperature variations. Its architecture, in common with all “Oyster” watch movements, makes it singularly reliable.
