The hands are excellent and do not respond to UV light. The wear and patina on the tritium hands indicate a possible hand replacement very long ago. The bezel is a MKIII fat font, consistent with the production era of the watch. The bezel moves bidirectionally but does not hold tightly, possibly due to broken “friction washers” in the bezel. The case is in very good overall condition with signs of wear consistent with the age and use of the watch. The case lugs are strong and well proportioned. The case appears to have been lightly polished in the past. The chamfers are visible on all lugs. The caseback is stamped with “1665” and the corresponding serial number matching to the mid case. The bracelet is in very good overall condition with signs of wear consistent with the case. The end links are stamped “585” and bracelet is stamped “93150” with 11 links. The end links have the serial hand scratched in the inner portion. The clasp is stamped “A” indicating 1976 production. The corresponding serial is hand scratched on the clasp.
