メンズモデル1945年にデイトジャストを開発し、兄弟のように展開させたロレックスが作り上げた当時のスタンダード｢Oyster Perpetual Date/オイスターパーペチュアルデイト｣。防水・防塵ケースを表すオイスターと、自動巻きを表すパーペチュアルのロレックスを代表する発明が使われており、シンプルなディテールから根強いファンを持つ名シリーズです。
今回は、独特な刻みの入ったベゼルで高い人気を誇る 通称[Zephyr Dial/ゼファーダイヤル]Ref.1008のご紹介です。ヴィンテージ特有と言えるクロスの入った綺麗なゴールドダイヤルに、夜光のドットのみのインデックスのスッキリとした顔立ちで、アメリカ市場向けとして展開されたとされるモデル。シンプルでさり気ないスタイリッシュなデザインで、通常とは違ったロレックスの奥深さを感じさせてくれる、とてもお洒落な時計です。
ムーブメントには、自動巻きキャリバー1570を搭載。6時側に表記された[Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified]の文字通り、[Chronometer/クロノメーター]認定を通過した高い精度と耐久性を兼ね備えたムーブメントです。1965年から80年代後半まで長きに渡り生産された”自動巻ムーブメントの金字塔”と言われる程の存在で、その後のロレックス自動巻きムーブメントのベースともなった、とても大きな存在と言えます。
ブレスレットには、純正ステンレス製オイスターリベットブレスレットをセッティング。ブレスレットの仕様整合性は合っておりますが、クラスプ部分がメーカーにて71年製のものに交換がされております。遊び心のある美しさの際立つデザインで、現代には無い魅力は勿論のこと、オーラを感じさせてくれるモデルを是非、店頭にて御覧ください。
