Rolex Oysterdate Precision Oyster Date Silver dial I.72 1972 Oyster bracelet Men's winding cal.1225

This lovely silver dial reference: 6694 Oysterdate Men's Rolex winding wrist watch, was produced in I.72 (First quarter of 1972) 1972 is the last year where the Rolex watch co. stamped years on the case backs. This Oyster Date watch is in fabulous condition, it's caliber 1225 is working at a healthy rate of under 5 seconds per day! It also maintains an average of 280+ amplitude on it's 21600 bph caliber c.1225. The watch has had it's crystal replaced, and I opted for a No.#12 Tropic super dome crystal, why I did this is to highlight the spic and span silver dial, original T-Tritium T-Swiss-T dial. I found the Oyster Date cyclops a bother, and the Rolex R-20 document from this era very clearly states a use of No.#12 crystal in lieu of the Cyclops #108 that could also have gone on this watch case. It has a bracelet reference 7835 with 19 mm lugs, 357 end links, as the bracelet is slightly floppy but still large enough to be worn by a 7 1/2 inches wrist (Some more room is there, as the bracelet pins down in the clasp somewhat in the middle) you can expand another 1/2 inch. The end links and the bracelet are worn, somewhere around the 12 o'clock end, this portion of the bracelet sees it's most heavy wear, with some deep scratches, and despite my attempts at cleaning it up- it is still obviously seen. Overall the bracelet is a 7/10, which for a bracelet of this age, is somewhat acceptable. They may look flimsy and light, but in truth these fold type bracelets are very robust. Many have been worn for 50 years or more, and still work! Please note the condition of the dial and case and bracelet, I have tried to highlight the best aspects of this very classy looking Oysterdate.
