Rolex Air-King 114200

Description

Rolex Air-King

A charismatic wristwatch with rare blue concentric dial and large Arabic "no lume" numerals. The Rolex Air-King is a lesser-known model from the brand that often finds itself overshadowed by the more famous models such as the Submariner, the Daytona, or the Datejust, which was introduced in the same year - 1945. The Air-King has always been one of Rolex’s more accessible models. It is comparatively affordable and offers excellent value for money. It is one of the few watches from the house that for a long time was priced significantly below many other Rolex models. It is one of the brand’s longest-produced models and therefore holds a firm place in the company’s history. The more modern example presented here impresses with an unusual and rare dial variant, the so-called "Concentric Blue Dial". The inner area of the dial shows a circular, concentric texture, while the outer ring is finished with a fine sunburst. The watch deliberately forgoes luminous material and instead relies on bold, strongly styled Arabic numerals in orange, which give the model a special distinctive and sporty character.
