The Rolex GMT Master was first introduced in 1954 with the reference 6542, but the model is still manufactured today and during all these years multiple examples have been produced featuring different dials, sizes and used materials. The gold reference 1675 here offered is one of those and along with the reference 1675 in steel was introduced in 1959. They were launched because Rolex decided to update the precedent reference 6542 adding a new bezel instead of the original Bakelite one, crown guards and a new caliber. The outer minute/second division is open while it is for sure present the aperture for the date, magnified by the cyclops lens on the crystal glass. The caliber is the automatic 1570 with Microstella regulating screws.
