Rolex GMT-Master 16750

Description

GMT-Master Pepsi 16750 c. 1984 Box

10959 GMT-Master Pepsi 16750 c. 1984 Box A very good example of the GMT-Master, with a matte dial and beautiful creamy patina on the lume. There are some light scratches and dings to the case sides and back.\n\nThis model was produced between 1981-1988, and was an improvement on the 1675 by adding a quickset date and hacking seconds.\n\nFirst released in 1954, the GMT-Master was a joint effort by the watchmakers at Rolex and pilots at Pan American Airways. This resulted in the ref. 6542, which utilised the base movement and case from the Turn-o-Graph ref. 6202 (which developed into the Submariner) and modified it to include the now-famous 24-hour hand and two-colour bezel. Later models replaced the fragile bakelite bezel with an aluminium one, enlarged the case, and allowed the 12-hour hand to be independently set. Rolex GMT-Master 16750 Automatic 40 Light scratches or marks which cannot be felt with a fingernail. Signs of light use. Bevels and edges may show signs of professional polishing. Bracelet may have some mild stretch. Hallmarks and engravings may have light wear. Vintage watches may have noticeable patina and overall wear.
