Sold in 1996, we believe the watch had never been opened and never been polished – the steel case is in excellent condition with only the smallest signs of wear. The bezel insert, we believe to be the original, is again in outstanding condition and moves with a firm ‘click’ in both directions. The original Rolex case back sticker is in very good condition and the hologram is clearly defined. The original Rolex chronometer standard movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. We have put the watch on a brand new genuine Rolex Jubilee Bracelet (£1,020.00). In terms of provenance we have: The original Rolex punched papers The original Rolex brochures date 1995 The original Rolex swing-tag with the matching serial number The Rolex leather pouch for the paperwork The original Rolex box, inner and outer (the outer box carries the correct 16710 sticker). The GMT Coke is one of the most desirable watches in their catalogue and to find one in this condition with full provenance is exceptionally rare.
