On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the GMT-Master, in 2005 Rolex launched the reference 116718LN. Entirely in yellow gold, it is adorned with its green “Maxi” dial. It is introduced with a Cerachrom bezel which is practically scratchproof and does not suffer any discoloration, thus offering it great durability. Caliber 3186 replaced the previous generation caliber 3185 incorporating new technologies and innovations. The movement includes a Parachrom hairspring which offers greater resistance to shocks and temperature variations.
