Offered in mint condition with holographic sticker still applied. This example represents one of the earliest executions of the modern Explorer lineage, combining understated aesthetics with Rolex’s renowned engineering pedigree. At its core is the Rolex calibre 3000 self-winding movement, a COSC-certified chronometer celebrated for its durability, precision and robust construction. The movement features a bi-directional automatic winding system, delivering exceptional reliability for daily wear and professional use alike. Reference 14270 is distinguished by its classic black gloss dial with applied white gold hour markers filled with luminous material, accompanied by the iconic Mercedes handset. The stainless steel Oyster case measures 36mm in diameter and is fitted with a smooth polished bezel, preserving the restrained and highly legible design language synonymous with the Explorer collection. The watch is paired with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet secured by a folding Oyster clasp, ensuring outstanding comfort and structural integrity. The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, while the Oyster case construction provides water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet. Originally sold in Italy, February 1993, presented in mint condition. Supplied with original Rolex inner and outer box, punched warranty papers, wallet, swing tags, original booklets and accompanying Rolex calendar card. Holographic sticker still applied.
