The dial layout was tweaked, moving the running seconds subdial from 9 o'clock to 6 o'clock, and the subdials were no longer aligned with the center but were slightly elevated above it, spanning from 9 to 3 o'clock. Rolex also made adjustments by widening the indices to allow for more luminous material, extending the lugs, and adding a mirror finish to the case flanks, distinguishing this latest generation even further.
