Rolex SS Datejust ref 1603 Bahrain Ministry of Interior Box & Papers 1978

A rare and highly collectible vintage Rolex Datejust ref 1603 circa 1978 commissioned by the Ministry of Interior for the gulf state of Bahrain, complete with matching logo box, papers, stickers, and presentation document! Featuring an especially fine condition example vintage Datejust with dial bearing the printed logo of Bahrain Ministry of the Interior. The entire watch, and especially the dial is in pristine condition, with applied gold indexes with enamel panels and with matching original gilt hands with matching black enamel panels. With fine engine turned bezel, acrylic crystal, and fitted with a tight D link Jubilee bracelet 62510H with 555 end pieces and with date code A for 1976. Powered by calibre 1570 self winding movement with sweep seconds and non quick set date. This magnificent watch comes with full documentation rarely seen. The original green Rolex clamshell box bears the Bahrain Ministry of Defence colored logo both on the exterior and interior of the box. The box is in especially fine and well preserved condition. Included are the original Rolex warranty punched papers, with original case back 1603 sticker, the green plastic hang tag with sticker bearing the serial# of the watch, chronometer tag, and finally a certificate of presentation to the recipient and his wife, signed by the Minister of the Interior dated 1978. In good running condition but can be serviced as a condition of sale. Of course guaranteed genuine as described and photo’d.
