Pictured below are the officers of the USS Corson taken during the ship's recommissioning ceremony in 1951. The USS Corson (AVP-37) was a Barnegat-class seaplane tender that was active in the Navy from 1944-1946 and again from 1951-1956. Seated in the front row is the late Commander Ernest Pollitt. During this tour of duty, he purchased this Ref. 8171 and treasured the timepiece for decades to come.
