Rolex Oysterdate Precision 6694

Description

Rolex Precision Date ref. 6694 - Silver Dial - Oyster bracelet (v1)

For sale at Debonar Watches: pre-owned Rolex Precision Date ref. 6694 from the '70s, with a classic silver dial. The watch is in steel on a beautiful Oyster bracelet. This ROLEX can be an extremely classic fit for both him and her. The Precision model has always represented the ROLEX entry level range, sporting a small case, the usual Oyster case with a thick plexiglass that stands out of the bezel, the instantly recognizable cyclope glass placed at three o'clock and a manual wind calibre. A bit of its story: The Precision reference 6694 began in the early 1960s and ran on with great success until it was discontinued at the end of the 1980s, earning it the distinction of being Rolex’s last manual-wind watch. Throughout that period, the Rolex Oysterdate Precision 6694 was one of the brand’s most popular models, occupying a budget-friendly option that still offered Rolex’s signature date display at 3 o’clock. Easily confused with the Oyster Perpetual and Oyster Perpetual Date, the Oysterdate is actually missing the “Perpetual” label in its name, to point out that it was one of the rare examples from Rolex that was not self-winding.
