This model was available in stainless steel, 14k and 18k gold, reference 6239 was the firm's first chronograph with the tachometer scale engraved on the bezel and the subsidiary dials printed in a different color than the main dial for better readability. The reference 6239 was the very first model of the celebrated "Daytona" series and could be found in sales catalogues in Europe as of 1964, though it is thought that the model was available in the US already in 1963. This model was available in stainless steel, 14k and 18k gold, reference 6239 was the firm's first chronograph with the tachometer scale engraved on the bezel and the subsidiary dials printed in a different color than the main dial for better readability. The dial is in very good overall condition with very light signs of spotting starting to form around the minute tract. The lume plots are uniform and even when exposed to UV light. The 3 o clock plot is starting to experience a loss in material. The hands have slightly aged and are showing signs of fade on the lume. The sweep seconds hand has aged and appears to have been replaced. The case is in good overall condition with signs of wear focused at the sides, consistent with the age and use of the watch. The bracelet is in good overall condition with signs of wear consistent with the case. The clasp is in good overall condition with signs of wear consistent. The chronograph function starts, stops, and resets at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch.
