Footnotes The 6234 and 6238 chronograph watches are often referred to as the 'pre-Daytona' due to their similar characteristics and importance in the development of the Daytona model. The 6234 examples were made from 1946 until they were replaced by the 6238 in 1960. During production, the 6234 was available with a white, black or silvered dial with gilt, rose or steel markers and hands.
