ROLEX Submariner ref. 5508 circa 1959 Steel wristwatch. Oyster case with graduated rotating bezel. Screw-down caseback. Screw-down and signed crown. Black dial, gilt, meter first writing. Mercedes service hands. Rolex 1530 automatic movement. Steel oyster bracelet ref. 93150. Diameter: 38mm Between lugs: 20mm With Rolex revision papers in 2002 and 2007. The reference 5508 is one of the "primitive" Submariner references and the last not to have a crown protector, its image is therefore associated with Sean Connery's James Bond.
