Rolex Oyster Commander Shock Resisting gold plated and stainless steel mid-size wristwatch, reference no. 3478, serial no. 1905xx, circa 1942, circular silvered dial with Arabic numerals, inner red 24-hour numerals, minute track and subsidiary seconds, screw down crown signed 'Oyster Patent', 17 jewel movement, signed case, Bonklip stainless steel bracelet, 29mm, Box and Papers - no. Movement - currently functioning. Dial - tarnishing, some discolouration and surface scratches - see image. Glass - light surface marks. Hands - hole to the minute hand infill, some marks and mild surface corrosion. Case - some heavy rubbing to the case sides and lugs, surface scratches and small indentations consistent for the period - see images. Crown - Rolex crown, rubbing, adjusting correctly. Bracelet - replacement Bonklip bracelet, good.
