It has been 56 years since the world's first mechanical automatic mechanism with a fully rotating rotor was announced in 1931, which shows how difficult it was to achieve the practical performance required by Rolex. It should also be noted that this generation supported Rolex's rapid growth from the late 1980s onwards and became the origin of the subsequent Daytona myth.
