Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 15238

Description

Rolex Date 15328 Champagne 18k Yellow Gold Award 34mm 1993

A finely preserved Rolex Date reference 15238, accompanied by papers stamped in New York City and dated May 1993. An exceptional find, this example was presented as a 20-year award dedication watch. The 18k yellow gold case has developed a beautiful warm patina—almost orange-peach in tone—and appears unpolished, as though it has remained carefully stored for much of its life. Its box, papers, and tags accompany the piece. The 34 mm round case is fitted with the classic fluted bezel and frames a champagne dial that has developed small, fully formed bubbles—a curious and uncommon characteristic that adds personality without detracting from its overall appeal. Gold applied beveled hour markers with lume plots, baton hands with luminous centers, and the signature date aperture at 3 o’clock complete the quintessential Rolex Date aesthetic. While the original bracelet is no longer present, the watch has been paired with a Rolex black leather strap and retains its original signed gold-plated buckle. A handsome time capsule with character appeal, this 15238 would make a compelling and distinctive addition to any collection. Dial has small bubbles, patina’d case. Case back has engraving. Rolex NYC papers dated May 1993. 11.5 mm thick case. Sapphire crystal. Rolex caliber automatic winding. Quick set date. N199xxx. Rolex black leather strap. Rolex gold plated buckle. 19 mm lug width. Modelled on 6 inch wrist.
