For sale is a near mint condition 34mm stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date. The Ref. 15200 is an L922,XXX serial example, circa 1989 production. The Oyster Date is fresh from service at Zimmerman Watch Repair, where it received a complete movement overhaul, case refinishing, and a new bracelet, with warranty coverage through late 2027. The 15200 is accompanied by records from its recent service, in addition to its original inner and outer boxes, booklets, COSC hang tag, booklet holder, polishing cloth, and its original 78350 bracelet.. The Oyster Date features a brushed steel case with a smooth polished bezel and is mounted on a new, unworn brushed steel 78350 Oyster bracelet. The unworn 78350 bracelet is fully linked with 13 full-size links total and will comfortably fit a 7.3-inch wrist. The original 78350 bracelet included in the sale also contains full links and is stamped with an N3 clasp code, corresponding to a production date of March 1989. The Rolex features a rare silver sunburst factory logo dial with the Royal Bahrain Coat of Arms printed above 6 o’clock, with applied polished white gold index hour markers, polished tritium-coated hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The tritium lume plots and hands have acquired a uniform and even light cream-colored patina with age, and present beautifully. The movement used in the 15200 is the Rolex Caliber 3135, which features approximately 48 hours of power reserve. About the Dial: The factory logo dial found on this 15200 is exceptionally rare and was specially produced for Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who served as Prime Minister of Bahrain from January 1970 to November 2020. These dials were produced upon special request for Prince Khalifa and were primarily given out as diplomatic gifts, never having been available for commercial purchase. Condition: The case retains thick, symmetrical lugs with crisp factory brush lines. The mounted 78350 Oyster bracelet fitted at service remains unworn, with factory stickers present. The dial shows superb preservation throughout, with only light signs of age present, while the lume on the plots and hands remains fully original and untouched, presenting correctly under UV. Overall, the Oyster Date is in near mint condition and is a true piece of both horological and geopolitical history, given its exceptionally rare Bahrain Coat of Arms dial.
