Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 1501

Description

Rolex Oyster-Perpetual Date 1501 Blue Explosion

At Bulang and Sons, we have a lot of love for the 34mm Oyster. Its modest size packs a big punch, and we’re delighted to share another unusual example today—pure vintage Rolex cool. This Oyster Perpetual Date is in great condition and features a striking soleil-finished blue dial with a very distinctive effect. Around the stick hour markers—where the zinc sulfide / tritium lume is situated—the blue takes on an “exploding” appearance. This effect is characteristic of blue dials from the era and can be seen not only on Rolex, but occasionally on Patek Philippe and IWC as well. As the patina is evenly present around all markers, we find this dial particularly unique, which is exactly why we decided to buy and offer this piece for someone seeking a watch with real character. This blue marvel further boasts a lovely, strong case with a machined bezel and is paired with a nice Oyster bracelet, reference 78350, with end links marked 557 and a clasp stamped V12. The watch has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker and is ready to be enjoyed. Proof that character beats size every time.Blue, bold, and exploding with character—this unique Oyster is waiting for you !
