Vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date in Rare Dial aka "Blue Shantung" Dial with Tritium Creamy Patina About the watch : Model : Vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date REF. 1500 Year : circa early 1970s' (estimated year 1971/72) based on case serial number 2,5xx,xxx Size : 34 mm diameter without crown, 19mm lug width Material : stainless steel Bracelet : original/matching period correct vintage Rolex Oyster folded linked bracelet ref.7835/357/19mm. Bracelet is long bracelet for big wrist owner and has total 12 links and equipped with micro adjustment holes/clasp for ease of length adjustment. Bracelet works very well, clasp lock/unlock securely without any issue at all. Accessories : It is accompanied with, 1. Original vintage Oyster bracelet in good working condition (show sign of stretch but no major concern, with visible clear Rolex logo signed on the clasp) 2. Hard cover watch case by Mineral Watches (complimentary) Condition : The watch is running well and winds smoothly, date advances at midnight without any issue at all. It has very rare dial color/design which always regarded as "SHANTUNG" dial by collectors. It is fully original T SWISS T Tritium dial and the Tritium materials had patinated into creamy yellow natural patina over the years! Dial is fully original "SHANTUNG" (NOT recolored/NOT refinished dial) and look extremely gorgeous in person. The dial shows very minor natural aging especially at the edge of dial but not noticeable and no major concern. The yellow patina matches the SHANTUNG Blue dial perfectly in my opinion. The case shows sign of use with normal scratches/hairlines but nothing of major concern when inspected it closely. The engraved serial number and Reference model number "1500" are clearly visible between the lug. Overall it is beautiful vintage 1970s' example which had aged naturally over the years!
