Includes Watch Only + Our Box as Pictured. Our One-Year Warranty on Operation. ROLEX Date POOL INTAIRDRIL This particularly rare Rolex Date features a co-branded dial with the Pool Intairdril logo. More commonly seen on the Air-King model, it features a full blue logo that was given as a Safety Award to employees. We present here the Date model ‘RIG OF THE YEAR’ - The logo with a more defined ‘i’ highlighted in what was originally more of a rusty red colour. Rolex were well known for commissioning special dials for various military forces and select commercial companies around the world. The Oil Industry in particular having their various company logos added to the dial throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Pool Intairdril were an oil servicing company operating predominantly in Libya supplying Rigs, machinery, processing plants and labor to some of the big name oil companies. Unlike the Safety Award Air-King watches it is believed that this Rolex Date with its more luxurious dial was issued once a year to the best performing Oil Rig on the company. Making for quite a scarce timepiece with Rolex only producing these watches for Pool Intairdril between the late 1970s and early 1980s resulting in potentially only a hand full of these yearly editions existing.
