While the original execution was done in solid yellow gold, later versions included two-tone, both with gold and platinum. The watch isn't exactly understated. Unlike the Submariner, which was offered in a limited number of colourways, you could have a Yacht-Master in any variety of eye-catching dial colours. Instead of being aluminium, the bezel was made from precious metal and boasts a contrasting matte and shiny finish. Finally, the seconds hand gets a pop of colour which matches the model text on the dial.
