Launched for the new millennium in the year 2000, Rolex unveiled the Day-Date reference 118208 with a new aesthetic for the legendary line. Featuring a standard construction in 18k gold, the model differs with a smooth domed bezel and is furthermore fitted on an Oyster bracelet. Offered in a plethora of dial colors and finishes, the present model features a 'Jubilee' dial (sometimes referred to as a 'computer' dial by collectors) in which the bold 'Rolex' text is repeated throughout the dial in a subtle pattern.
