Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea 116660

Description

Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller

Rolex’s hardcore dive watch, the Deepsea “D-Blue”, boasts an impressive water resistance of 12,800 feet/3,900 metres, and honours James Cameron’s 2012 expedition to the bottom of the Mariana Trench; Earth’s deepest oceanic trough. Setting the D-Blue apart from the standard Deepsea is its distinctive blue-to-black gradient dial and ‘DEEPSEA’ script in bright green reflecting the colour of Cameron’s submarine. Rolex’s decision to move ‘DEEPSEA’ to the bottom half of the dial further separates this extreme diver from the standard watch. This no-nonsense dive tool is presented in a robust 44mm steel case which is over 17mm thick. Despite its heft, Rolex has fitted a titanium case back to give the watch improved ergonomics. Housed inside the case is Rolex’s calibre 3135, a robust chronometer-certified movement with a 48-hour power reserve.
