An attractive pink gold wristwatch with date, guarantee, hang tags, and presentation box. Released in 1992, the Yacht-Master was a professional tool watch designed for sailors, and it has since become one of the brand’s most popular models. Over the last 34 years, the model line has evolved with examples made in stainless steel, gold and platinum, along with the Yacht-Master II which sported a regatta timer, specifically used for yacht racing. The reference 116655 was introduced at Baselworld in 2015 in Everose with a black Cerachrom bezel and introduced Rolex’s Oysterflex rubber strap. The Yacht-Master was first released as a luxurious counterpart to the Submariner, and the reference 116655 was a pivotal watch for Rolex since it was the first time they used a rubber strap. Previous Yacht-Master and other iconic models were sold with matching metal bracelets and the addition of a Oysterflex strap was a bridge between luxury timepieces and sportier models. The watch is offered complete with its accessories including the International Guarantee card dated September 2018. The reference 116655 was discontinued in 2019 and replaced by the reference 126655.
