The watch has a caliber 1530 chronometer grade 25 jewel automatic movement signed Rolex. The watch has an unusual stepped black gilt dial with applied gold coronet and baton markers. The dial is marked Rolex Oyster Perpetual Officially Certified Chronometer and Swiss below 6:00. The watch is in a steel and gold case signed Rolex and dated 4th quarter 1959. The dial is exceptionally crisp; the serial number and reference number show wear and are partial worn off where the band rubbed against the case.
