Introduced in the late 1990s and produced only in very small numbers, these watches encapsulate the Geneva manufacture’s early vision of fusing avant-garde aesthetics with the highest standards of traditional watchmaking. The present example, cased in white gold, houses the automatic calibre RD5710, a movement of notable technical sophistication bearing the Poinçon de Genève. The mechanism integrates a perpetual calendar with leap year indication and moon phases, enhanced by a striking bi-retrograde display that distinguishes the model both functionally and visually. The white dial, with calendar indications in English, provides excellent legibility while highlighting the originality of the design. Produced in a strictly limited series of 28 pieces, this watch is number 4 of the edition. Its rarity, technical ingenuity, and sculptural case design make it a highly collectible example of Roger Dubuis’ most creative period, embodying the blend of exclusivity and horological innovation for which the manufacture has become renowned.
