In 2007 the RM 012 won the most prestigious award during the Geneva «Grand Prix De l'Horlogerie »: The « Golden Hand » which is presented to only one watch a year. This model was created in a limited edition of 30 examples in platinum and inspired by architecturally engineered structural forms. The design of the RM 012 offers optimal rigidity with exceptional resistance to thermal change and corrosive elements. This is the first time in watchmaking history that a movement has been made without a base plate, but only with tubular structures. Out of these 30 pieces, only 5 examples were made with a full set of 189 baguette-cut top wesselton diamonds weight 8.5 cts. The present model is number 2/5.
