Dirty Dozen Collection, in Excellent Condition and with Tritium Dial. “Dirty Dozen” watches were the first purpose-built military watches ever made and produced between 944 & 1945. The “Dozen” comprised 12 manufacturers who produced around 150,000 watches for the war effort and of these circa 25,000 were made by Record. Featuring sword hands, a 36.5mm chrome topped case and a 022K calibre the Record represents a classic military watch that has been copied in design many times! The sub-seconds dial ensures maximum legibility when on the battlefield and the iconic broad arrow marks the property of the crown. Tis watch is even more 'RARE' is that the case and lug numbers match - L30485 / 485. As this was a field tool watch used intensively in military action, replacement parts were often mixed and with case backs and cases being a prime example. To find one that is intact is a rarity.
