This watch was ordered by the British MOD in a batch of 25000 watches for WWII after the war there was a batch stored and pulled again from storage somewhere late 50’s or 60’s to be issued again. Since the Radium dials were not safe these were swapped with these Tritium NATO dials and the hands where relumed also with Tritium. Since these are considered scarce they make up a derirable collectors item. This watch has very few scars. I guess it has not been worn extensively. This watch and caseback have the same production number so were always together. Something you rarely see. The Record 022k movement is running and keeping time. But the service history is unknown. It is advised to have it serviced if you want to use it from day to day. The case measures 36x47x11mm measured excl crown.
