The plastic cover glass in the pressed bezel is intact and without chips or scratches. The case with its horseshoe-shaped ring and small cylindrical crown is in immaculate condition and as good as new. The two-tone dial design is as rare as it is remarkable. The yellow-orange metal dial with outer red railroad minute track with 5-minute dash indication dispenses with any numerals, which enhances the effect of the graphic elements in contrasting red: hammer and sickle in the five-pointed star in a central and expansive arrangement, below the official Soviet seal of approval for certified quality in the pentagon consisting of the text mark cccp (USSR) above the 7-cornered pictorial mark of the seal, below it in bold letters the text mark cccp. The dial is immaculate and in perfect condition. The minute and hour hands (pear-shaped hands) are gold-colored, the second hand is blackened. The back, which is clearly indented in relation to the bezel, is pressed (with a small opening groove at 12 o'clock) and bears the decorative embossing of a stylized three-master. The gleaming lever movement with 19 (!) jewels and Raketa picture mark with caliber designation 2609.ha features the proven Raketa 2609.ha caliber, lever escapement (Swiss lever escapement à ligne droite), four-legged monometallic and gilt ring balance with shock protection, flat balance spring, escape wheel with additional shock protection (!) and fine adjustment (long regulator). The diameter of the movement with 11.5 lignes is 26.65 mm. The half-oscillations of the 18,000 a/h ring balance correspond to 2.5 Hz. The weight of the watch is 44 grams. The striking, rare and fully functional Raketa pocket watch Lepine was manufactured in Pedrodworez on the Gulf of Finland around 1980 and shows minimal signs of age and wear. red star The five-pointed red star is often perceived as a symbol of the socialist or communist world view. It is meant to metaphorically light the way to a classless society, but is also interpreted as a symbol of the labour movement, with the five points symbolizing the five civilized continents. hammer and sickle Alongside the red star and the red flag, the symbol of the two tools hammer and sickle in crossed form is the best-known and most widespread symbol of communism, especially the variants of Bolshevism, Maoism and the various other Marxist-Leninist movements.
