The Porsche Design p'6520 Compass Watch is a limited re-edition (of 911 pieces) of the original watch with integrated compass created by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1978, and features a black pvd titanium case with a larger diameter than its aluminum predecessor. The original 1978 model, a collaboration between Porsche Design and iwc, was innovative in its design with the compass and luminous mirror integrated into the case. the watch combines a three-hand automatic watch with a retractable liquid compass, accessible by a push-button. It is the first watch in watchmaking history to feature an integrated compass. Compared with the dry compass of the original model, that of the P6520 is a liquid compass, which is more technologically advanced.
