Ferdinand Porsche once said in an interview: "My aim was to create a watch to match the car. Black like the speedometer and rev counter of the 911, because it doesn't dazzle when you read it.". The chronograph was a complete success with over 50,000 sales. The Porsche Design watch soon became part of the basic equipment of every Porsche 911 driver. Many famous racing drivers, such as Clay Regazzoni, also wore the watch on their wrist. The example offered here is beautifully preserved and in immaculate condition. The black dial with sub-dials in the same color is absolutely perfect and clean. The tritium luminous material has a beautiful creamy color. The case has a matt black chrome coating (pvd) and is in excellent condition. The black powder coating often shows heavy wear, which is why it is difficult to find one in such good condition. The bracelet is also coated in black and is in excellent condition. In August 2024, a complete overhaul was carried out by the Boxberg company for 990 euros. The invoice is part of the scope of delivery.
