Porsche Design Chronograph
Porsche Design has been around since 1972 as a design house subsidiary of Porsche AG and has designed pens, watches, luggage, sunglasses, electronics, etc. They are known for quality and extremely clean and functional, yet stylish designs, and their use of titanium. Since 1998, Porsche Design watches have been manufactured by the esteemed watchmaker Eterna, who has been in business since 1856 and proudly displays the slogan ‘Nothing but Watchmaking’.
This watch, the 6500.10 Chronograph, is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, and showing minimal signs of wear, having been subject to a £600 full maintenance service by Swisstec, Porsche Design’s official U.K. Service partners. The watch is also now covered by Swisstec warranty until 9th February 2025. The watch is powered by the ubiquitous and ever reliable ETA-7750 chronograph movement. The 41mm titanium case has a rotating titanium bezel engraved with both 12-hour and Tachymetre scale. The titanium screw-down crown is signed with the ‘pd’ logo. The black dial has luminous markings and luminous hands. There is a day/date display at 3 o’clock, and the chronograph and running-seconds sub-dials at the 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions. The clean, utilitarian look of the watch is completed by the integrated titanium link bracelet with hidden clasp that also bears the ‘pd’ legend.
