Piaget is a luxury watch brand founded in 1874 by Georges Edouard Piaget in La Côte-aux-Fees, Switzerland. Piaget watches are renowned for their beauty and fine finishing details. They are characterised by their slender cases and sophisticated design. It is also known as a pioneer of thin movements, launching thin manual-winding calibres in 1957 and thin automatic calibres in 1960. These were around 2 mm thick, an astonishingly thin design for the time. Piaget is also a brand of fine jewellery, and its timepieces are beautifully decorated with gemstones. This watch is a manual wind dress watch, reference 9254 from the 1980s. The 18K yellow gold rectangular case is rounded and has a very unusual shape with the top and bottom recessed in the middle. The case size is 27.8mm width and 32.8mm height including the lugs. It is slightly wider than the Cartier Tank watch. The bezel has a polished finish, and the sides and center of the caseback have a vertical hairline finish. One of the features is the structure in which the case back is screwed at four points. The dial features a matte black dial and four-point diamond indexes. Through the sapphire glass, it looks like gray depending on the angle. The installed movement is a manual wind Cal.9P2. It is the successor model of the ultra-thin movement Cal.9P that represents Piaget. Introduced in 1980, the thickness is 2.15mm, which is only 0.15mm thicker than the 9P. As a result, productivity and robustness are improved. Piaget singed yellow gold buckle is included.
