-> B. HISTORY of the Model:
Launched in 1957, the 9P caliber was groundbreaking for 2 reasons: standing at 2mm, it was the thinnest manual-wound movement ever made for wristwatches, and its 20.5mm diameter was much larger than the standard, therefore allowing for larger cases. These slender movements allowed for slim and elegant cases with great designs like this "clous de paris" 18k yellow gold case that checks in at only 4mm thick.
The subtle details really make this watch special. Firstly, the clous de parís case texture but the poignet blue crown is also worthy of note as well as the hidden lugs. The black tone “Piaget” font on the dial almost sinks into the champagne at some angles while catching the light and eye at others. The hour markers allows the simple, dauphine handset to stand out against the flat champagne dial as well.
