Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 137584, case No. 251516, specially made for William Edgar Wooley, presented by his friend and partner Henry Montgomery Gerrans, 1897, sold on the 13.5. 1908. Very fine 18-carat gold and enamel minute repeating watch., CHF 16,000 - 18,000 Four body massive "bassine lentille" case with decorated band, the bezel and the edge of the back with a floral champlevé decoration over a black enamel. A painted enamelled eagle on the back with the motto; " Honeste Audax". Gold cuvette with the dedication. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. 16"' rhodium plated movement, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 32 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and swan neck micrometric index. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. In very good condition. Diam. 47 mm.
