The lot is also presented with a letter dated 2003 from the director of the Patek Philippe Museum. The letter confirms that the coat-of-arms and initials were engraved by Patek Philippe for the original buyer who was from an Irish counts family - Mr. O'Rourke. The coat-of-arms and J.O.R. initials are expertly engraved and finely detailed. The letter also states the families motto was, "Victorious".
